Good News For Life

There is a lot of good news in the world, but there is also a lot of bad news, like when you get a call that your grandpa is in the hospital because he had a seizure and he is in a coma. As terrible as tjhat sounds, worse things happen every day, like death, but death only came into the world because of sin. The Bible says in Romans 6:34, “The wages of sin is death...” The ultimate bad news is death, but with death comes sadness, sickness, fear, grief and hatred.

God didn't create us for death. He created us for life. We should do everything we can to protect life, such as take care of ourselves, prevent abortion, cherish each other, love each other and forgive. Thankfully, there is not all bad news: there is good news ,too, and the best news is forgiveness and love. Forgiving is very important. If God didn't forgive Adam and Eve for their wrongdoing, this world would be a terrible place full of only sin, death and hatred. There would be only bad news.

Without love, God wouldn't have sent Jesus to die on the cross and forgive our sins. The rest of the verse above is “but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” God gives us forgiveness for free. We don't have to do anything for forgiveness. We don't have to die for a world full of sin. Jesus did that for us. Jesus did that for us not as a burden, He did it because he loves us. Now if you ask me, that sounds like good news, and it will be for life. Actually it will be forever and ever.
